Chester Close is a very small cobbled mews on the north side of Chester Street.
The name comes from the town of Chester, which is near the historic home of the Dukes of Westminster at Eaton Hall in Cheshire.
Halfway down the mews is a very attractive metal ironwork arch covered in creeper. Beyond this, on the west side, is an attractive 1980s flat development, called Cobham Court, designed by Davis & Bayne Partnership. There is a fountain by the entrance and external steps to the upper flats.
Chester Close is a mixture of offices and residential accommodation. No. 3 is particularly attractive , with a garden in front of the house and its own wall and railings.
